New Uniforms for Fall 2014

Click here to order SYSA Uniforms and Gear

As has been previously mentioned, Southborough Youth Soccer will be changing uniforms for the Fall soccer season of 2014 as well as the process for ordering them. The new uniforms will be maroon and gold to align with the town school colors as well as the color scheme of Algonquin Regional High School. The blue travel uniforms, as well as the reversible blue and white in-town uniforms will no longer be used. We are arranging to donate our stock of remaining blue uniforms, as well as a collection of donated used uniforms, cleats, sweatshirts, etc., to a charity in Haiti that promotes youth soccer. Donation bins for all old uniforms and other soccer equipment are located at 53 Richards Road (residence).

The process for ordering has also changed. We have partnered with Nike and Soccer.com to provide a very high quality, customized uniform that be ordered and shipped directly to you. In addition to the uniforms, we have designed and offer a full range of logo apparel and spirit wear including back packs, T-shirts, hats, jackets and warm ups. While only the jersey, shorts and socks are required, we would encourage you to pick up some additional items as a percentage of every sale will be credited back to the program. In addition, if you are currently or become a Soccer.com Goal Club member (their loyalty program), you will also receive credit for the same order.

If you have registered for the Fall season, sometime in the next two weeks you will receive an Email from Soccer.com (it actually comes from custserv@sportsendeavors.com with the subject "Time to order your SOUTHBOROUGH YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION uniform) and a link with the ordering instructions. All you need to do is select a size, order any additional gear or equipment, and check out. Your order will arrive directly in a few weeks. The Email will go to the primary account used in the registration process, and also please check spam filters.

TRAVEL ( U9-U14): Maroon and white "Park Derby" Jersey, Maroon shorts, White Socks

IN-TOWN: (U6-U8): Maroon Tiempo Jersey, Black Shorts, Maroon Socks

There are two additional programs we are putting in place. Players who will participate as U8 players in the Fall will order an in-town jersey, black shorts and maroon socks, but this will be numbered. This group will be able to wear this same uniform for their season as U9 players as well (Fall 2015-Spring 2016). For the 8th graders (U14), we will be putting into place a buy-back program since these jerseys will only be used for one year. At the end of the Spring season, if the jersey is returned in good condition, we will refund $20 of the uniform fee either directly to the family or as a credit for a sibling still in the program. This will allow us to build a small inventory of jerseys in the case of loss or duplicate numbers.

A couple of CRITICAL points:

1. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO PLACE YOUR ORDER.  Please allow a minimum of three weeks- that means placing your order no later than the first week of August. Unlike  past seasons, there is no inventory being held, so you will not be able to swing by Ellen Faherty's house on your way to the first game.

2. The jersey sizing runs very similar to the current jersey. The shorts seem to run a size big. We have ordered a full set of samples and have them available in the Southborough Recreation Department office to try on after June 24. If you have any question about size, please try on a sample before you purchase. The shorts can be exchanged, the customized jerseys cannot. Size charts are also available on the order page.

3. In order to eliminate the continued problem with duplicate jersey numbers, there will only be one of each number per gender per age group. Numbers will be assigned randomly. The Email you receive from Soccer.com will include your assigned uniform number. We apologize in advance that selection of favorite numbers will not be possible, but this was the only fair way to do this.

4. A collection bin for the blue uniforms, cleats, old sweathsirts, blue coaches shirts, etc can also be found in the Recreation Department office.

If you have any questions about the process or do not receive an Email from Soccer.com, please contact Matt Rhind, Equipment Director (mattrhind@hotmail.com) or Ian Fier, Vice President (ifier@verizon.net).
