Coaches’ (CORI) Kid safe forms
All coaches and assistants must have a (CORI) Kid safe form on file with MYSA. MYSA now mandates that background checks be done for all volunteer in the Soccer program. The background check is far more extensive that what the Kids Safe program initially called for. MYSA will get a person's entire criminal record history, with the exception of those cases where the records are sealed. Please Visit the MYSA risk management section for more information on volunteer exclusion.

To volunteer for Youth soccer you must have a CORI Kid safe form on file with MYSA. For security purposes, you can only fill out this form on line at MYSA. Kid safe Registration also provides you with the blanket liability policy required if you are a coach or administrator. Remember that no one is allowed to coach or assist without a Kid Safe registration.

Coaches Web Links
Coaches can locate some interesting Soccer links that include both great skill building and educational information. One recent addition is Better Soccer More Fun. Some sites even include Virtual Soccer drills. In addition, you can locate important League and State Web sites.

Southborough Soccer Zero Tolerance Policy
Coaches and Volunteers are reminded of the SYSA Zero Tolerance Policy toward Referees. Coaches should remind parents of this policy when there is a dispute or call on the field.

BAYS Rules
BAYS has published a new rulebook for your use, You can visit the BAYS web site for details. In addition, Bays Rule 12, Fouls and misconduct, is repeated here for your convenience to understand the Referee calls.

SYSA Operating Guidelines
To the Coaches and Volunteers of SYSA, By agreeing to volunteer for SYSA, you are expected to administer the policies and guidelines detailed in the SYSA Operating Guideline document. A link to this Operating Guide is provided for your convenience.

Coaches’ player rating form
A Coaches Player rating form need to be completed at the end of each season for each player on their team. Please follow the player-rating pdf for a PDF form. For an word document form that can be emailed Right click player-rating doc. (SAVE Target as to your desktop) Fill it in and Email (or hand deliver) the completed form to your age group coordinator ASAP. Proper placement and development of players depend on coaches’ fair assessment. The new form includes a column to rank player ability within the season team, please be sure to include all requested information team, please be sure to include all requested information.

Coaches Team Roster forms
All coaches and assistants must have a formal Team Roster form verified and signed by the registrar. Bays teams must submit an approved roster to their Bays section coordinator. An Excel .XLS form is available by clicking the following link RosterForm.xls. Once completed, this form must be approved and signed by the registrar. Approved Rosters are available on line from your age group coordinator.
